Painted Mongolian Kang Low Cabinet - Late 19thC Scarves An old carved teak cowbellThis green & red painted low 'Kang' table with 3 drawers is from Mongolia and dates to the late 19th century. They were used beside the kang which was a raised platform used as a bed or lounging area. Kangs were quite often made from stone which was heated from underneath in the winter.
