The back has an impressed Karlsruhe mark and the code 7341 designed by Werner Meschede (1925-81)  and in production between 1966-78

The sun would cast shadows on the carvings which would make it  more visible from a distance

A sweet antique Dutch Delft tile c 1750 displays a blue and white pastoral scenic image within an octagonal frame and is surrounded with a manganese / mulberry border

Wedgwood Tile "Jolly" Sport Fishing Series Yei The back has an impressedThis tile is part of the humorous six tile series entitled "An Eventful Days Fishing" designed at Wedgwood between 1870 1900. The title of this tile is "Jolly". It shows a fisherman under an umbrella in the pouring rain. The tile measures 6" square and 3 8" thick. The back has the embossed mark "JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS ETRURIA". The condition is very good. The surface is unworn and shiny with a couple of small flakes on the edges. A great series to
