This dramatic art deco era tile was made at the Franklin Tile Company (1923-1935) in Lansdale PA

I have about 9 of these tiles available

The slip is drawn on the tile much like decorating a cake

Originally designed during the Arts and Crafts period these stayed in production through the 1960s and can be found as an accent decorating the wall above a tub in many higher end mid century homes

Gladding McBean Hobo Cat Tile Trivet frog This dramatic art deco eraA vintage tile from Gladding McBean Hermosa California from a series designed in the 1930's. It shows an a cat dressed cooking a fish over an open fire. Great colors, just look at that purple can! The octagonal tiles edges are stepped down in an Art Deco style. It measures 6" X 6"and remains in excellent unused condition.
