In silver, the obverse presenting young victoria, the reverse bears the inscription FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE, the rim is engraved in block serif letters SERGT MAJOR W. DYER. 2ND. BN. RIFLE BDE:, ornate swivel suspension, worn with a replacement type I ribbon, lovely patina, minor edge marks, extremely fine.
