Canada, Commonwealth. A Second War Memorial Cross to Pte. Strathdee Newly Listed When the two occupants ofA Memorial Cross, in silver, reverse engraved A. 118635 PTE. G. STRATHDEE, reverse marked R and STERLING on the 6 oclock arm, worn on a small purple ribbon tied into a bow, light wear and loss of silvering to the reverse, remains very fine. Footnote: Gordon Strathdee was born in May 1926, in Dorchester, Ontario. He served with the Veterans Guard of Canada during the second war. He died on November 23, 1945 in Chatham, Ontario of an automobile accident.
