Constructed of blackened magnetic iron, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates 1914 1918, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), executed in a patinated style omitting swords consistent with official awards issued to war bereaved, a unique example in extremely fine condition.
