A Maltese cross, the obverse presents a central enamelled medallion bearing a golden lion and palm tree, the reverse plain, maker mark J. C. GANTE BERLIN, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon tied in a bow with a horizontal pinback, decorated with a German Imperial pendant, the cross measures 38 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), and in good condition.
